WE WON! Mrii pro mynule wins award for "BEST FEATURE DOCUMENTARY" at WMIFF!
We are thrilled to announce that "Mrii pro mynule" (aka "Dreaming Up the Past: Early Music in Ukraine") has won the award for "BEST FEATURE DOCUMENTARY" at the World Music and Independent Film Festival in Washington, DC. We are grateful to the judges, the festival organizers, but also the wonderful musicians who partipated in our film. Without them, there would not have been a film to make! We just received word that our latest documentary ("Mrii pro mynule," on Early Music in Ukraine,) has also won an Award of Merit from the Accolade Competition! The award recognizes "notable artistic and technical productions." We are grateful for the Accolade's continued support and recognition of our quality productions! Coming Soon: Kickstarter Project!
We need to update our equipment, and to bring our cinematographer Chris Renaud to Ukraine this summer. Then we will have enough footage to start editing our "Klezmorim" project in the fall! We try to raise the needed funds through Kickstarter. The project should go up within the next week or so, so make sure you look for it! We will have many cool incentives, and your help will be greatly appreciated! (We will post a link to the Kickstarter site here, once our project is up.)
