Take Off One Ear! Completed

Our short (22 minutes) music documentary Take Off One Ear! has just been completed!

The title is a quote from the film, which features the recording sessions of the ensemble Sarmatica for its new recording. Recording engineer Vadym Borysenko calls out to a musician to take off one ear, i.e., to take the headphones off one ear, so that he or she can hear both the playback in one ear, and the live music in the other.

Frautschi screened in Kyiv

A screening of Frautschi took place in Kinoteatr Kyiv on March 18, 2010. The response was very strong, warm and positive. We would like to express our gratitude to the president of the Kinoklub 3000, Volodymyr Boyko, who organized the screening, to the audience members who took the time to come, and for the many thoughtful comments we received. Thank you all for making this a wonderful event!

New Short Video: The Czar's Guitars tours Russia

The Russian Guitar ensemble The Czar's Guitars (Oleg Timofeyev and John Schneiderman) traveled to Moscow, Zhukovsky, and Kazan' to perform a tour of concerts. The video puts footage from this trip to a beautiful potpourri of Russian folk songs, played on two Russian seven-string guitars.
